Your work stays on your Mac.
Last updated 2026-09-05 · Applies to the Intermind app and this website.
1. The short version
Intermind runs on your Mac. Your files, prompts and mission history stay on your machine; this studio operates no server that receives your work. Data leaves your Mac in three cases only: what you send to AI providers through their official tools; anonymous crash reports, if you opt in; and licence checks with this studio's licensing service, which carry your licence key and a device name but none of your work.
2. Data that stays local
- Mission history, timelines, plans and agent transcripts (a SQLite database in your app data folder).
- Workspace files you point Intermind at — read and written directly on disk.
- Long-term memory notes (Markdown files you can open, edit or delete yourself).
- Credentials: API keys you enter are encrypted with the system Keychain and written to a local file in your Intermind app data folder (credentials.enc.json, readable only by your user account); the Keychain holds the encryption key rather than the key text itself. Subscription logins are handled entirely by the official Claude and Codex CLIs — Intermind never reads, stores or transmits those tokens.
3. Data sent to AI providers
When you run a mission, your goal text, relevant workspace content and attachments are sent to Anthropic and/or OpenAI through their official command-line tools, under your own account and their terms. Intermind is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Anthropic or OpenAI. Review their policies for how they handle that data.
4. Crash reports and diagnostics (opt-in only)
Crash reporting is OFF by default. If you turn it on in Settings, crash stack traces and the app version are collected, with workspace paths, prompts, attachment names and environment variables filtered out. You can turn it off at any time. A local 'Export diagnostics' option is always available and never uploads anything.
5. Purchase and licensing data
If you buy a licence, payment is processed by Stripe acting as merchant of record; Stripe stores your billing details under its own privacy policy, and card details never touch this site. This studio's licensing service keeps the order (plan, purchase email, order and session identifiers), the licence it issued, and the device activations against it, so that your key can be delivered, recovered by email and renewed. On this machine Intermind keeps only your licence key, an activation identifier and a short-lived signed lease, encrypted with the system Keychain in license.enc in your app data folder. Activation sends your licence key and a device name of the form “Intermind on YOUR-COMPUTER-NAME”; renewing or deactivating sends the licence key and that activation identifier. None of your workspace content is ever included.
6. This website
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. It remembers your language choice in your own browser's storage. The purchase form sends your email and chosen plan to the licensing service once, to start checkout; the recovery form sends the email you type in, and the service answers the same way whether or not it matches a purchase.
7. Your controls
- Delete any mission, memory note or the entire app data folder at any time.
- Turn crash reporting on or off in Settings.
- Deactivate a licence from Settings to release that device.
- Ask about, correct or delete the purchase record held by the licensing service: write to support@heygodric.com from the purchase email.
